Isaac's Field Day!!

The CCS students had a great field day on Friday despite the rainy start. The Lord pushed the rain aside just as we began, and spirits were high despite the wet ground and cold, gray day. The focus this year was on teamwork rather than competition, and it was a beautiful emphasis. The older children had to be patient and help the younger ones, and I was extremely impressed by the great attitudes of all involved. Competition was not the focus this year, which was a really neat change. Anyone could see that the students had been discussing and praying about working together with children of different ages. What a blessing for Isaac to be a part of this. Zeke hung out with his friends Calvin and Joshua in the childcare, and Jonah went to a field day for homeschoolers in a different location. I look forward to seeing the pictures that our friends took of their day! Thanks to the Berglars for adopting Jonah for the day. He tied-dyed a t-shirt for the first time and won three ribbons and a hefty scab on his knee.
